Welcome to STAGE SELECT! a miniature tribute and approved fanlisting for the game series that is on a roll, Super Monkey Ball (© Sega)! Welcome to the world of (Super) Monkey Ball, a Sega stage game staring Aiai, Meemee, Baby, and Gongon! The main objective of the (regular) game is to clear all of the stages in all of the levels, plus the bonus stages by rolling in a clear ball. Also, you can unlock bonus levels and minigames in this series, so you can keep rolling forever! The reason why Super is put in parenthesis is because the original game was just called Monkey Ball and was an arcade game. The more recent games actually have a plot: to stop Dr. Bad-Boon!
The game wouldn't be as cute if it weren't for the insanely adorable monkeys who call the world of Super Monkey Ball their home! Here's a short description of each lovable primate!
AiAi
Aiai is the main character and is always up to the task of stopping Dr. Bad-Boon. He loves to eat bananas in his spare time like any other monkey, and play with his wife MeeMee and son Baby~!
MeeMee
Meemee is Aiai's faithful and very beautiful wife. She is the reason why Dr. Bad-Boon terrorizes the jungle: For her love. Meemee totally turns him down every time! Go Meemee! She loves flowers and bananas, and of course her husband and Baby!
Baby
Baby is Aiai's and Meemee's little child! He's the fastest and most adorable baby around the jungle! He's so grown up for his age that he rarely cries, but when he does only Meemee could ever hope to calm him.
GonGon
Aiai's previous rival, but now his best friend, is none other than the hot-tempered GonGon. He's always proud to be the strongest of all the monkies and doesn't keep his ego hidden often.
YanYan
YanYan is new to the group. She's fearless and fast and not to mention great at martial arts, namely Hachi-en-Ken. She's never shy -- except when she's around a certain AiAi. She has a major crush on him and instantly turns shy when he's near!
Doctor
Poor Doctor, he's an unfortunate monkey who has amnesia -- he can't even remember his own name! Fortunately, he is ever-brilliant and comes up with new inventions all the time. Out of respect, the town calls him "Doctor" for his superior intellect.
